Book club update
It’s been far too long since I last posted. The discussion on the book club has been interesting. (Most of it has been in email, decease not in responses to the blog.)
There has been a lot of interest in the book club. We have decided to work on a draft of the ground rules over the holiday break, and we’ll get everything up and running in January. In the meantime, you can peruse the site we will probably be using for the book club: It is currently located at http://bookclub.paulpehrson.com. (Or you can to go https://www.paulpehrson.com/bookclub. They go to the same place.)
Christina and I will propose a list of the ground rules for book club membership. We will submit the list of proposed rules to the interested parties (if you are an “interested party” let me know, and we’ll include you in the discussion), and we will work together to come up with ground rules that we (mostly) agree on. At that point, anybody who is willing to abide by the ground rules will be allowed to join the club. So that is where we’re at. Stay tuned to this blog or to the book club website for more information.
Jonathan, my brother-in-law, gave me a copy of this movie. I think it is hilarious, so I thought I’d post it on my website and embed it in my blog. It is at the bottom of this post.
It is about 5MB, so it may take a while to download on a slow connection. But it is pretty funny.
We leave in a week for our holiday trip. We’re really excited. I’ll try to take some photos and post them on my website.
Yesterday I heard an older lady cuss in the chapel at church. That was pretty funny. Christina and I had a hard time not laughing out loud. (That wouldn’t have made matters any better for her, but we might have heard another cuss word…)
Yesterday I also went to Katherine Diane Loveless’s baby blessing. Congratulations to Dave and Courtney. The blessing was wonderful, the sacrament meeting was interesting (a different story for a different post), and the food and friends were good afterwards.
Merry Christmas everybody!!
